10 Weeks Old!

Emaline is ten weeks old today and gets more fun by the minute. Since my last post we have been to the doctor for a well baby check and the first round of vaccines. She weighed in at 11 lbs. 11 oz. (one week ago) and that put her in the 75th percentile. She is 22.25 inches long and that is in the 50th percentile. She got very upset with her shots and screamed so hard she burst some capillaries in her forehead and eyes. The next 24 hours she was a little off but, nothing too bad.

Emme is now showing definite recognition of both Jimmy and me. She looks us in the eye and smiles when we come in her line of vision. She is grabbing items within her reach now (often putting them in her mouth) and can hold them for longer periods of time. She still loves to stand and be pulled to a sitting position but, is no fan of tummy time so we work on that several times a day.

We have been out visiting a lot in the last week including dinner at a friends; dinner with Genesis, Chris, and Sarah; a trip to Great Southern to see my co-workers; girls game night with the
BKD crew; and trips to two Grandma's. I have included some pictures of our trip to Phelps Grove park last Saturday, as well as, some from around the house. We hope everyone is doing as well as Miss Emaline, talk to you all soon!

Jimmy's First Saturday of Freedom

Jimmy enjoyed his first Saturday off after tax season by sleeping in and taking his family to Rockin Ribs. We had a great day and couldn't be any happier to have a husband and daddy again!

Too Cool for School

Someone thinks they are "Joe Cool" until they lose their binkie. I guess we're not as big as we thought we were.

We have a computer again!

Sorry to all those who have been awaiting new pics. Our computer got a virus a couple of weeks ago and BAD things happened. We just got it back so I am posting as soon as possible! Emaline is 8 weeks old now and we will go to the doctor later this week for the first round of vaccines and a size update. She can now sit up and support her head, put weight on her legs standing, grasp and throw her rattle, and lift her head and shoulders during tummy time. She smiles a lot and is very close to laughing. She loves to talk to people and toys with faces. When I read to her she babbles away like we are having a conversation. The pictures I am posting here are just us playing around the house (no dogs were harmed in the making of these pictures). Enjoy and I will update again when I have a report from the doctor!
