4 Generations

Emaline got to meet her Great Grandma Midge yesterday and we got a great picture of all four generations together. Grandma will be 86 years old tomorrow so this one is really special, enjoy!

Emaline goes to work

Emaline made her first visit to BKD to visit Daddy and his friends yesterday. I think she was a big hit, but she slept the whole time which we told her was not acceptable on the job. So, Jim decided to put her to work which only seemed fair. Enjoy the pics!

Grandpa and Grandma babysit

Emaline's Grandpa Greg and Grandma Jo came across the state for a visit this week and had a chance to babysit for me while I went to the doctor. As you can see it looks as though everyone did just fine without me! Luckily Emaline did not inflict her "Exorcist" spit up and acid reflux screams on them, so I am pretty sure that they think she is a perfect angel all the time (what a tricky little minx!) I have also posted a picture of Emaline enjoying her Boppy. She loves tummy time and often plays on the floor with me and the dogs. She also likes to use her Boppy for tummy time and do baby push ups. As you can see she gets tired after her workouts and needs to rest, ha ha! Brady insisted on getting some face time as well and thought if he sat in the Boppy I might notice him, poor guy is so neglected.

Baby gets a bath

I am not sure why, but it seems that you have to get some pictures of your baby having a bath. I thought I would share some of the funnier ones with you. Needless to say the first couple of times Emaline had her bath she thought we were inflicting a new form of torture. However, she quickly adjusted her attitude and now seems to enjoy her soaks. I am pretty sure that she is going to be like her Mom and look forward to a nice warm bath to unwind and forget her troubles!

Two weeks old already!

I can't believe that it has been two weeks since my last post. Time flies... We are all settling in to our new routine and I am just enjoying my time with Emaline. I am starting to mend myself and was able to drive for the first time yesterday. I took the baby to Great Southern to visit and have included some pictures from the outing in her first "big girl" outfit. She then spent a little while at Grandma Gigi's while I went for some groceries. The picture in the white and yellow dress is the day we came home from the hospital. That is the same outfit I wore home when I was born 28 years ago! Emaline is growing and changing every day. She is very alert several times a day and loves to give her mother a scare with her superbaby strength (throwing her head around, doing situps, and rolling all around.) Jimmy is of course working a lot right now but, is able to see the baby for a little while at lunch each day and then a little before bed each night. Needless to say, we really cherish our Sundays when we get to spend the day together as a family. Hopefully he will only have to work 7 day weeks a couple of times before tax season is over. I am spending a lot of time outside with Emaline enjoying this unseasonal weather, hopefully I will get some more pictures to showcase soon. Until then!
